Reconstruct

There are buzz words
Words I’m not used to
Or words I’m simply not fond of
I hear
I react
I judge
Then I condemn
Before even a word is on my tongue,
Or a believing thought on my heart
Or a conversation to be had
Deconstruction
It’s such a difficult thing
We hear it
We judge
And we simply condemn
When in reality,
If each of us do not deconstruct
If each of us do not destroy
Are we coming to the call of crucify?
I am crucified with Christ
It is not I who live
But Christ who lives in me
I am simply commanded to -
I’m commanded to reconstruct
Yet extremes are gone to -
The root of bitterness destroys
The prideful tradition haunts
And before you know it,
None of us have crucified
Don’t be afraid to die to self
Don’t be afraid of the supernatural
Don’t be afraid to be like others -
Don’t be safe rather than sorry,
But be sorry to be too safe
God is the one who judges,
God is the one who condemns
God gives Grace to the humble,
He despises the proud
Oh My God,
Forgive me
I repent in dust and ashes
And call on your name,
I die to myself,
I live in You
Reconstruct my soul -
I give it all to you.
